School Leadership Team (SLT)
Want to play a significant part in determining the path Myers Park High School takes into the future? That’s the role of the MPHS School Leadership Team.

Through the School Leadership Team (SLT), parents and school staff work with the principal to develop the School Improvement Plan (SIP) and work toward continued improvement in the realms of

o High Academic Achievement
o Effective Educators
o Adequate Resources and Facilities
o Safe and Orderly Schools
o World-Class Service
o Strong Parent and Community Relations

The SLT is currently seeking new members to lend their skills for the 201-2013 school year. This group is critical to the needs of the school,
as Myers Park maintains a steady course through the ever-changing education system.

To be successful in reaching its goals, SLT membership must represent all facets of the diverse population found at Myers Park High School.
To that end, we need more parents to be involved to ensure that the work of the SLT responds to the needs of our entire school community.
Hour-long meetings are typically held at the school once a month on campus. The time commitment to the SLT, beyond meetings, varies depending on the task at hand. One to 2 hours per month is the norm. In addition to meetings, member communication is primarily through email. Meetings will begin the last week in September.

For more information, please contact SLT Chair Laura Rice at Lrice23850@att.net or 704-527-3648.
